The intensity of her disposition left little room for doubt. Her eyes were galvanizing.
As she passed, she looked me right in the face… daring me to miss the shot.

listen to black women, c.2018

Women’s March, Chicago | January 2018
Mothers, Grandmothers, Aunties, Sisters, Wives, Friends… they tried to tell you. But perhaps you are nothing more than a beggar to your own demise.

92 Percent…
The percentage of Black Women who voted for the survival of our Democracy.

Black Women have historically been the single most loyal voting block in the Democratic party. And they have also been the most disenfranchised. Nonetheless, with a rock-solid pragmatism, they consistently cast their ballots for the candidate who represents the “greater good,” and the candidate who seems most capable of providing the best environment for the wellbeing of their families.

For Black Women, the math is simple.

Meanwhile, on the other side of town, the majority of white women voters felt no sense of urgency to mitigate their own subjugation. Nearly 55% of them voted for a 34-count felon and pedophilia curious adjudicated rapist. A white supremacist who has vowed to end all reproductive freedoms, and assert government control over their bodies.

Barefoot and pregnant is the plan, statutory rape is the bonus.
Apparently, over half of white women voters are cool with it.

I’ve been informed that this time around, when the inevitable “marches against whatever…” kick-off, Black Women will be officially on strike. Believe them.
