The Beautiful Decay

I stared at these cityscapes every morning. As an artist and an outsider, I romanticized the dilapidated edifices with their makeshift repairs and cacophony of colors. In the early hours people moved about in a languid fashion. Greetings and passing conversations. My companions and I always went out for coffee, and so we often walked among the residents of Old Havana. Greetings and passing conversations… and my horrid Spanish.
